GLEN ROAD

Imagine yourself in Ireland at the end of the day. The weather is rough and everyone is inside in the kitchen while rain beats on the windows. The fire gets stoked with peat, the kettle boils and mugs of hot sweet tea are passed around. Someone takes a fiddle off the wall and launches a reel, joined soon by flute and guitar. The floor is cleared for a set dance. Sparks fly from the flagstones, songs are sung, jokes and stories drift through the air and you are lost in the moment. Welcome to Glen Road; bring your dancing shoes.

Who we are:
Glen Road are Mike Dugger on guitar and vocals, Turlach Boylan on banjo and flute, with Kevin Buckley on fiddle. Recently we've been performing with the great singer Connie Dover. We play traditional music from Ireland and Newfoundland. Mike sings both old and new songs.

Our first CD Round The Bend was recorded in December 2002. Mike also has a solo album, At Early Dawn, and Turlach has two albums, The Tidy Cottage and Shame the Devil. Mike is featured on the Sunrush album, Horse of a Different Color.
